HLRz - Medium Grav Server Down?????

Is the HLRz - Medium Grav Server down? I have not seen it in the server list since looking for it a little over an hour ago.

Hi, I've been away from Urban Terror for a while now.. however, I've decided to keep paying for the server in the meantime, as I don't want to discontinue a server that seems to have built up a nice number of regulars, and certainly not without some prior warning. I haven't quit UrT, I've just taken a break from it, and am busy with other things.

I only recently saw your messages (thanks), and have filed a support ticket to the server provider. They normally respond quite quickly, so I wouldn't be surprised if it were up and running again in less than 6 hours time.. It's not the first time I've taken a break from UrT, and I look forward to playing more in the future..

Well, it turns out this time the exceptional happened, and the server(s) that contained the b3 service and the game server crashed, and all data was lost. I'm seriously debating whether I should move to another provider - I know data loss is a possibility with any provider, but based on the shear number of other incidents (eg. services stopping often enough & throwing b3 bots and commands out), I think that it might be the opportune time to change provider. I haven't the time right now to sift through other provider options and set everything up again from scratch, and when I do it will likely just start with another straight game server, without the b3 service running - as that's the time-consuming part, to configure all the plugins and other configs how we like them. I 'll try and hunt through options on the weekend.

I'm sorry for this inconvenience. I'm very disappointed because I was pleased with how the server had progressed, and now there's a number of players who can't play on a server they grew accustomed to.

Hey guys! I spent this last days playing on other servers and, let me tell you: what a nice server we had!!! I'm not going to say that every server, but most of them are unplayable. We all know that some players are campers, but i've never seen this turn into a team or server strategy. They never go out of their base: they just wait for you to come and kill you.

Another thing that surprised me (and not on a good way), is the amount of snipers on each team: you cant go out of your own base and you're dead.

Regarding the amount of players on the servers and the use of granades, well... they just bomb your base so you spawn and you're dead.

Maybe i got very accustomed to our server... I've also talked with Mr.Smithers, JackDaniels and other usual players and they all said the same: that they miss HRLz Server and specially Low Grav.

I dont know what time available Dominic have, or if the money is an issue, but i offer myself again to help setting the server back again.

Well, firstly thanks very much for your kind words. This was the main reason I regretted the service being discontinued.. for the sake of those who had become regulars - I may go with a vps in the future, but I'm still not really sure when I will have the time to set that up - in my experience other people I've known have had some issues when installing b3 from scratch that way. I do think the vps option would be the way to go though - having 32 slots could mean keeping a constant number of bots per side without worrying about freeing up space for pubbers. Also, I guess I don't have to set /everything/ (plugins etc) up straight away, just clear the main hurdle of installing the game service and b3 with the general server config and maps. I appreciate the offer loup, and I will see if I get the time to kick-start this project in the near future! You were certainly a great help with the first server setup! I am also anticipating progress in the area of UrT HD - fingers crossed that the developers will commit to working diligently and deliver some sort of playable release that focuses on playability first and foremost. I think that new engine could really open up UrT to a wider gamer audience.
